
Infrared image showing a successful intercept of a threat-representative intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) target by two long-range Ground-based Interceptors (GBIs). The GBIs were launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, USA on the 25th of March 2019 as part of the FTG-11 salvo test. The target was launched from the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site as part of the first-ever salvo engagement test with GBIs.
