
Pterosaur skeleton. Fossilised skeleton of a Pteranodon ingens pterosaur. This flying reptile had a wingspan of 6-8 metres, a body the size of a turkey, and ate small fish. It lived around 70 million years ago, during the Upper Cretaceous period, in the Kansas, Alabama, Nebraska, Wyoming, and South Dakota regions of what is now North America. Specimen found in Kansas, USA.
