Egyptian goose (Alopochen aegyptiaca) gosling in water. Egyptian are naturally found in Africa but have been introduced to Europe and the United States. They are good swimmers and appear relatively heavy in flight. Until the goslings are a few weeks old and strong enough to graze, they feed largely on small aquatic invertebrates, especially freshwater plankton.
