Keratitis. Fluorescein dye (with blue excitation) being used to highlight the alteration (patchy areas) of the corneal epithelium of a patients left eye in a case of keratitis. This is an inflammation of the cornea, the transparent front part of the eye. The symptoms of keratitis include eye pain, excessive watering and blurred vision.
