TILT up, exterior, daylight. The monastery was founded by the Catholic Monarchs in Santa Fe in 1492, but was transferred in 1496 to Granada, first to another location and then to its present location in Calle Gran Capitan. The work was directed by Jacobo Florentino, El Indaco, and on his death in 1526, by Diego de Siloe. The building has a late_Gothic design with Renaissance elements. The facade is decorated with the coat of arms of the Catholic Monarchs and a triple window, the work of Diego de Siloe. Above the portal is a mutilated statue of St. Jerome.
