Circumcision surgery. Clip 4 of 14. This operation involves the surgical removal of the patient's foreskin, usually to treat a condition such as phimosis, where the foreskin cannot be retracted fully. After the removal, done here with an electrocautery tool, further cauterisation is carried out to reduce bleeding. The remaining tissue is then sutured, and a bandage applied. This clip shows the removal of the remnant of the foreskin after the bulk was removed earlier. For the entire sequence, see clips K003/1798 to K003/1811.
